It started in Black communities as a warning: stay alert to injustice.
It’s a refusal to sleep through oppression. A commitment to see, name, and change the systems that harm us.

Why This Movement Matters—Right Now

Right-wing media and political operatives have twisted the word “woke” to mean weakness or extremism.
But what they’re really attacking is awareness itself.
